It’s My Birthday—Help Me Give the Gift of Hope!!
This April, I’m celebrating my birthday a little differently.
Instead of gifts, I’m asking you to support Friends of the Cecil, the community work I lead at the historic Hotel Cecil in downtown Los Angeles.
This grassroots effort provides food, emotional and spiritual support, one-on-one advocacy, and practical help to residents living in one of the most storied—and often forgotten—corners of the city.
Your gift helps people like Rose, who found the courage to leave Skid Row and move into her own home after years of uncertainty. With no case manager, she leaned on the relationships we built—and your support made that possible.
This work is deeply personal to me. And your generosity is the greatest birthday gift I could ask for.
